Plot

Premise

In the futuristic world of Gaia, sixteen-year-old Tosho Hisakawa dreams of joining the Aokanshu Academy and becoming a warrior of justice. But when an assassin attacks his family estate, Tosho disobeys orders and enters the criminal underworld of Osaki City to hunt the Black-Scaled Dragon, Kazuya Tanigawa. Alongside Jacqueline, Okuma, Nithya, and the mysterious Midnight Firefly, Tosho is pulled into a battle against Yakuza power, magic, chi, betrayal, and a coup threatening the city.

Magic System

Chi
Chi relies on physical training and allows for abilities, for example, enhanced strength,
endurance, speed and reflexes. How powerful a user’s body is depends on skill, which
is attained by training and experience.

Mana
Mana gives the user the ability to cast magic spells. The power of mana is governed by
studying and practising the use of magic. Schools of magic involve elemental magic,
illusion, conjuration and others.

Prana
Prana, which allows the user to manipulate energy from their spirit. The power
of Prana is governed purely by the user’s willpower; mastery of Prana is attained
through meditation and reflection.
